Polinova

A spin-off from the Institute of Macromolecules Professor Eloisa Mano at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Polinova develops products based on advanced polymers such as masses for coating of metal structures and special adhesives of high and ultra-high performance (these latter with the use of nanotechnology). The company focuses on industrial markets, where custom solutions solve mission-critical problems within the heavy industry, with prominent hostile applications such as engines, cold welds of pipes, pipelines, fuel tanks, and marine repairs; especially those suffering from corrosion problems, high pressures, and temperatures, including submerged applications.
